Creatures up North...

Shortly after finishing The Creature, I sold her to Jason, at Bullitt Customs up in Canada. Even though I miss that bike, I'm happy she's in good hands. I dig the new headlight set-up and pipes Jason...looking good. Here's an update he posted last month on their blog...

Here's a few pics from a few months ago, before I switched over to the 33mm front end and she made her journey up North...

DS Brezzy bars!

Matt wanted some new bars.
So... we built these sick Z-bars

sketch town...

never trust a motorcycle you dont know...

i dont quite understand the low levels of quality that some people call acceptable.

I guess this stem wasn't long enough, or it broke somehow? it had a solid piece of stock that was a good 2mm too small inside it, with the worst booger welds, with half the welds full of holes. oh and it wasn't even close to straight.

ugh.

Titties really do make everything better...

Apparently, more people have found our blog by Googling terms involving tits, than anything else. Thanks for stopping by to see us...

Disorder Studios in Michigan

i went to my aunts house in Ann Arbor, Michigan for thanksgiving this past november. i was looking for a long chrome springer (i still am), and while i was in michigan, i got a phone call from a guy named Sethro. He told me might have a front end for me, but that he was all the way in Michigan. (I live in VA) Well it turns out that my aunt's house is only 20 min away from Sethro's place. I took a little drive, and ended up in the middle of no where, on Whittaker Rd. Sethro has quite the set up, with a giant super old dairy barn, and two other garages all packed full of amazing things. From hot rods and 60's vans to antique bicycles and coke machines. More then a little bit of everything. In one corner of his main workshop he had a knucklehead motor and frame, and in the other corner he had an evo sportster that he's had since new. Every piece on the evo has been modified, welded, added to or replaced. It was one of those places that took a good 10 minutes to just stand in one place, stare, and take in all the awesome stuff stuck in every nook and cranny. Unfortunately, the front end he had for me didn't work, but he was a super gracious host, showing me, my dad and brother around. Sethro also paints, letters, and stripes, and it turns out he's done some stuff I've seen. He did the lettering and striping on Fab Kevin's Muskrat, and another of Fab Kevin's builds, "Estancia de Oro".

Sethro does a ton of custom work, on both cars and motorcycles. He showed me a 60's dodge van that he completely redid the frame and rear end, to hold up to the wheelies it can do. He had a big ol' four door 60's car that he put on airbags. There was an early 50's Ford panel truck that was waiting for a new roof. He has several jap bikes that were getting work done, and an ironhead he was building from the ground up. He has the skills and is more then willing to help a brother out, so if you are anywhere near the state of michigan, i highly recommend you look him up.

Turning a Knuckle into a Genny Shovel...

Yeah I know........ but before you start in with the man, what a waste jam.... or the I would never make that trade jam let me say, I don't deserve a Knuckle..... I don't have the dough to build it right nor do I have the knowledge to keep it moving.......

So, I decided to travel to the Great White North and see my HEAVY HOMIES and make some moves...... I shoulda known I was in for some fun when it looked like this when I was splitting.......

On a SOLO mission I headed out for Chicago to snuggle with Jerimiah and get a little tour of Bravetown thanks to Jerimiah, Brad and Eugene....... fucking sweet time and sweet spot..... wish I coulda stayed longer..... thanks a million for the hospitality!

Next day I loaded up and headed for Saint Paul to see the family......... Zac, Pete, Joe, Dave, Kevin, Spencer and Rager it was fucking GREAT to see you fellas again....... I wish I could have stayed longer.... I love Minnesota and the HEAVY crew are LEGIT friends! Thanks for the good times.....

I got out of Minnesota just in time.......

But I split with some rad SHIT........

Then I headed to Dave Herr's house.... who's house.....? Dave's house......... Dave is a saint and while I know him in the interweb sense I hadn't met him in person..... until this trip........... he is just as much a hero in person as via cyber space....... Dave's house is rad, he is rad, his bike is rad.......... it was great to meet you in person..... thanks for the fun and the place to lay my head.......

Oh, and I got a peak at Dave's project........... let the next magazine war begin.... haha....

Last stop was the Show Class Kwanza party in Philly.......... again, good times with GREAT FRIENDS......... oh, and it didn't hurt that the party was at a strip club........ what better way to release Issue 4 and celebrate the season?

So, I got rid of a knuckle and grabbed a few goodies including a Slabside Shovel, 4-speed tranny to go with it and a SWEET sweet Harmon front end...........

It was a LOOOONG trip but WELL worth it...........
